Making a reservation at The Birdhouse Inn constitutes acceptance of all policies listed on the website and booking engines. The Birdhouse Inn reserves the right to disinvite guests found to be in violation of house policies or federal, state, and local laws.
The Birdhouse Inn retains customer credit card information for seven days post-stay, and reserves the right to charge guests for damaged or stolen property. All such charges will be documented and invoiced. Any personal or contact information supplied by the guest will only be used by The Birdhouse Inn and will not be given to any third party. In the event of a security breach, The Birdhouse Inn will immediately notify any customers affected but cannot be held liable for any resultant fraudulent activity.
Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the Birdhouse or on the porches or balconies. We ask that smokers please be courteous to other guests by smoking in the parking lot and disposing of their butts responsibly. Though we didn’t think we had to say this, lighting candles, incense, or anything else inside is EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED. Do NOT attempt to start a fire in the fireplace. If the weather is cool enough to create a draw, you can ask your hosts to start a fire in the hearth. Rooms found to have smoke damage after check-out will be charged a substantial extra cleaning fee.

Children & pets
The Birdhouse Inn does not allow pets of any kind and is not well-suited to host children under the age of 10. If you have further questions about The Birdhouse Inn's child policy and your specific situation, please do not hesitate to contact us before you book. We do not differentiate between children and adults for booking purposes. Minors must be accompanied by an adult without exception.
Facilities
We have several common areas available for our guests’ enjoyment: the solarium, living room/library, and dining room. We ask that guests stay out of the central kitchen area, refrigerator, freezer, pantry and all other areas marked. There is a separate refrigerator/freezer, sink, and microwave for guest use in the living room, as well as glasses and water for your convenience. There is also an additional powder room for guest use off the kitchen.
Refunds & cancellations
Guests may cancel without penalty up to 14 days before scheduled arrival. Refunds will be made within 7 days.
Guests canceling 7-14 days before scheduled arrival will only be refunded if the room(s) can be rebooked, minus a $20 transaction fee. Refunds will be made within 14 days of cancellation, should a refund be due.
All reservations will be PAID IN FULL UPON BOOKING.
